Ashley has spent a great deal of her professional life working in either mental health or physical healthcare settings. She studied Psychology at UNC Chapel Hill and went on to receive her Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from the UNC School of Social Work, with an emphasis in Community, Management, and Policy Practice.

Ashley has worked in large hospital systems, public schools, small non-profit organizations, and for-profit corporations in the private sector. She has a unique background which has allowed her to understand and appreciate both the business and clinical aspects of operating a mental health recovery program like Abhaya Wellness. She provides operational support to the clinicians, monitors the benefit verification process, tracks accounts receivable, and oversees the scholarship program. She is available to any past, present, or prospective client who has questions about their insurance coverage for services or a bill they’ve received.

Ashley believes that Abhaya Wellness’ culture of putting quality care and the patient experience first is the best way to do business. As Chief Operating Officer she has built systems and processes to support the maintenance of that culture.
