Meet Justin Moore
Justin Moore: LCMHCA, Therapist at Abhaya Wellness
Justin Moore is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who works with adults, couples, families, and adolescents moving through anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and the deeper questions of meaning and connection that often sit underneath them. He earned his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and has led over a thousand group therapy sessions across inpatient, addiction, and acute psychiatric settings. He brings more than a decade of experience as a facilitator, educator, and movement teacher into the therapy room.
Justin’s clinical experience spans substance use recovery with co-occurring diagnoses at Asheville Recovery Center, crisis stabilization on an inpatient psychiatric unit at Mission Hospital, integrative and trauma-informed care at the Pearl Psychedelic Institute, and mentorship of adolescents in wilderness therapy. His work is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered, grounded in attachment theory and family systems, and inspired by the PACT Institute, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman method for couples. He weaves somatic and mindfulness-based practices, breathwork, movement, and dream work into traditional talk therapy, drawing on years of study in yoga, transpersonal psychology, family constellations, and cross-cultural ceremonial healing in the Pachakuti Mesa tradition. Whether someone arrives with a specific struggle or a quieter sense that something needs to shift, Justin meets them with steadiness, curiosity, and respect for the many paths a person can walk toward healing, growth, and connection.
