Meet LeeAnna Gill

LCSW, LCAS Therapist

LeeAnna Gill graduated from Appalachian State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and then went on to complete her MSW at University North Carolina- Chapel Hill where she additionally completed the Substance Use Addiction Specialist (SUAS) program. LeeAnna is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and License Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) with a background in social work, intensive outpatient (IOP), community mental health services, and the IDD community. LeeAnna’s years of education, training, and clinical experience have guided her capacity and passion for uncovering the underlying core processes and in exploring the systems that stand in the way of recovery and peace of mind.

LeeAnna was drawn to become a therapist because of her innate desire to create a safe, non-judgmental space where she can validate human experiences and emotions and impart hope, especially at times when it feels like there is none. Her therapeutic style works well with those who are experiencing interpersonal challenges, life transitions, general and social anxiety, depression, women’s issues, and patterns of substance use.

LeeAnna especially loves being able to customize her treatment plan for each client by utilizing the variety of techniques and therapeutic modalities that best suit her client’s needs including, but not limited to CBT, DBT, MI, Psychodynamic, distress-tolerance skills, and mindfulness and meditation. LeeAnna’s clientele value her authentically compassionate, gentle yet affirming nature and therapeutic style that welcomes an equal balance of processing, skill-building, and psychoeducation.

As a therapist, LeeAnna feels that it is her privilege to journey alongside you and hearyour story while exploring your past, present, and future together.
